Back to the swing of things...

After a half a week of prep for vacation then a week of vacation, it can be hard to get back into the swing of things. Not only in chores and the house but also in homeschooling.

How easy it is for a child/preteen to forget what they have been working on.  I will give you an example. We have been working on writing skills.  A week or so ago we finished how write an opinion paper. We also started to learn how to go about writing a persuasive paper.  Today Biggun just knew that we where repeating lessons.  He was convinced that we where repeating the introductory/conclusion paragraph writing lessons over again.  When we were not repeating lessons but those two paragraphs are included in almost every paper you will ever write.  We all know when you have a preteen who thinks he knows everything this can be real fun to teach. NOT.

On the other hand all the other subjects we breezed through.

Now to stay on track for the next month or so and we will be able to enjoy some time off during the Christmas holiday's!
