Read the Blog I like to read.

Multiple meaning words can be fun and confusing at all the same time. Specially when the words are spelled the same but read differently.  Take the word "read"

You can read a book about cars.
or
I have read a book about cars.

Same word spelling with two definition causing it to be pronounced differently.

Then there is words that sound and are spelled the same but have different meanings.

A fly is on your head.
or
I like to fly on a plane.

For children who struggle with reading and/or spelling these type of words can be a nightmare. As many of you know Biggun has always struggled with reading. As we have been trying to teach the importance of spelling to Biggun.  We have tried to tackle these words are with computer games, games on paper, and we have used magnetic words to make sentences on the fridge.

What are some of the ways you have helped your child learn multiple meanings of words.
