Writing is the one subject that my son does not like. So what does a mom do but to sign him up for a class at co-op for writing, right? (Snicker, giggle, snort)
In the past 3 semesters we have done co-op I have always had him take "fun" classes to him and not "real" classes to him. Of course they where real classes but most of the classes where more history type classes. He ended up taking what he called a "real" class this semester. I spoke of this class on Sept 13, 2012. Now the semester is over and we only had one or two issues through out the semester. He really needs a writing tutor. But Ms. Betty did a great job and got him to write more then I have ever gotten him to write. I am hoping that Ms. Betty is going to be willing to help me with more writing for Biggun. She is a great writer and has a great way of pointing out what he needs to work on in a nice yet challenging way. I can also say since our printer is not working he is getting handwriting practice while working on this writing skills.
All round his first semester of co-op went pretty good. Specially since he was able to spend time with friend almost every Friday afternoon through out the semester!!!
