The Documented Life Project. Start to Week 6

My friend Aunt C. is doing

To explain in a short phrase this is a  planner that has been "ARTed" up. Yes I just created that word.  You can learn more about this HERE. Join in on the challenges you by going HERE.  They have a a facebook and instagram account to follow too.

I was not able to find a "planner" and I was to impatient to wait for one to be mailed to me, so I purchased a journal and am creating mine. It is still the Molekine brand for the quality but I am making it as I go.

Here is the first look at my planner.

I created the front page, it was not a challenge or assignment I just wanted to do it.

I have added a monthly calendar in the start of each month. I will finish decorating this as I feel inspired.

Here what a lay out looks like. With both the weekly planner page and the challenge.

Christmas Doodles

I made all my Christmas cards this year. Doodled them then water colored them. Here are some of what I did.

Here are some of the Christmas theme doodles I made.

Honey is really into watching and trying to make her own doodles, I might have to figure out how to write my own art curriculum once we start back to school

Oh How I love Water Pen's

I have not posted doodles in a while. Figured I would share some of my favorites I have done lately.  Less zentangles and more what I call country art doodles.

My friend Aunt C. gave me what is called a water pen. This is a pen that you fill with water and it has a paint brush on the tip. You use it with water colors. It gives you more control of your paintbrush tip then using an actual paintbrush.  Keeps you from playing art games with your supplies.

Oh, I do believe I am addicted!!!!

Here are some before and afters…

I love that snowman.

Here is another snowman I made…

I am in love with the water colors. It is easy to do and relaxing.
I need all the relaxing I can get in my stressful life. Lately things have been more stressful then contractions during labor.  So any way to relax is a good way to relax.

Prayer Journal's

I found a book on pinterest, called

As many of you know I have been doodling to help relax. This book was a great way to encourage my doodling and pray at the same time. It is so easy to do you could use it as first grade curriculum to high school curriculum, if you wanted to add t to your school. To sum up the book, basically you start a prayer journal (or on ANY piece of paper).

You draw a shape, put a name in the middle of that shape and pray for that name and doodle all around the name/shape. I do this in a different order I write the name and then doodle around it while I pray. I love how my prayer journal has grown. I love that I am praying daily. I have even doodled a few bible verses in the prayer journal.

This has really helped keep me concentrating on things that need prayer. I have really enjoyed my time with God.

Here are a few example from my journal. I have smeared out names to keep those private. But I left a few so you can understand how My prayer journal is growing.

So simple !

Doodling Away the Stress

One thing my Daddy used to do when he was stressed or needed to think would be to doodle. You could find doodles all over the place. I decided to get a journal type book and do some doodles on a larger scale to help my own stress. I figured I would share some here. I will add a few every so often. These are just my freehand doodling. I got some of the ideas off Pinterest. How to create the letters, flowers, and other stuff. Enjoy...
