The Simple Woman's Daybook

 

Outside my window… it is a slight breeze and a beautiful 78 degrees.

I am thinking… wondering how my husband's CT Scan went today, wondering what the report will show us on Thursday. 

I am thankful for… being the Mom of 3 wonderful children even though they seem to be driving me nuts lately.

From the learning rooms… Spring break is officially over and right out of the gate, Biggun has to write a Letter and an Essay in his time4learning.com Language Arts. He was rather surprised.

From the kitchen… Not much new, really love the Pioneer Woman web site oh and the Tasty Kitchen website.

I am wearing… my everyday jean skirt and t-shirt.

I am creating… a cotton crochet dishcloth 

I am going… to try to get some items labeled for the PPEA Used Book Sale.

I am reading… so many different books, a chapter from Dancing with My Father and a chapter from The Busy Homeschool Mom's Guide to Romance.

I am hoping… to get my kids to bed at a decent time tonight.

I am hearing… the laughter of my children and the song, "I play my guitar who will sing in my band" a song from a leap frog guitar.

Around the house… cleaning things out to sell at the PPEA Used Book Sale.

One of my favorite things… is hearing my husband teach my daughter what front and back means.  "This is your front, he points to her tummy, this is your back, he pointed to her back."

A few plans for the rest of the week… preparing for Biggun's Cross Over Ceramony from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Boy is he growing up to fast.

Daybook

Outside my window…  it is a cool 57 degrees outside, beautiful night.

From the learning rooms… Biggun is doing great with his Time4Learning, Honey Bear is learning her colors doing her best not to call everything White or Pink.

I am thankful for…  Being a Mom, even in the tough times. When I should not be thankful.  

From the kitchen….   nothing fancy, hubby cooked tonight - Fish sticks and Tator Tots.

I am hearing... my little moose snore though his stuffy nose. 

I am wearing … jean skirt and floral top

I am reading… some great blogs, Above Rubies magazine

I am creating… knitting a scarf, hopping that it turns out better then the first wash cloth.

 

I am praying…  for clarity 

Around the house…  not much, littles have been sick.

           

One of my favorite things… the new Carmel Frappe drink at McDonalds

 

A few plans for the rest of the week…  w/ the littles both having ear infections and yucky coughs.  I don't think there will be much of anything going on the rest of the week. Other then Big Daddies follow up dr. apt.

Outside my window…  it is a cool 55 degrees outside and a calm night.

From the learning rooms… Biggun has been flying through fractions, Reading "How To Train A Dragon" and working on memorizing lines for his part in the Easter pageant at church.

I am thankful for…  Honey Bear (3yr) fell asleep after giving up her Mine (binki) Granted she fell asleep after crying/whimpering for almost 2 hours.

From the kitchen….   had taco's for dinner tonight, but Sunday and Monday we enjoyed some new recipes from the Pioneer Woman. Chicken Spaghetti and BBQ Meatballs w/ mash potatoes

I am hearing... the TV on low, the fridge running and Moose snoring next to me in the recliner. 

I am wearing … my favorite pj's

I am reading… some great blogs, I Take Joy, Like a Warm Cup of Coffee

I am creating… a knit wash cloth, I am teaching myself by watching you tube videos.  

I am praying…  for wisdom on how to tie the heart strings of my children.

Around the house…  finally moved ALL of the littles clothes, dresser included, into the laundry room.  Now we have one big clothing area w/ all but Biggun's (10yr) clothes in one place. Makes my life easier. 

           

One of my favorite things… watching my children sleep.

 

A few plans for the rest of the week…  Dr. apt for Big Daddy on Thursday, Lambert Conference on Fri/Sat, Blue and Gold Banquet for Scouts on Sat and my sisters birthday is Saturday. Whew that is a busy week.
