Keeping Up?

How do you keep up? This is a question I get asked and I ask myself often.  Really how do you keep up with the the husband, the kids, the mil (Nana), church, house, schooling, bills, meals, your health any of it and all of it.  How do you keep up?  There are days that I just don't.  There are days that I just want to climb under the covers and NOT do anything.  There are days that I am not able to do much other then sit in my recliner and watch my kids keep from hurting each other.  Those are the days that I have a headache that is about to explode my head and I am not proud of.

 Then there are the days that there are a million things going on, but some how I hold it together, the only way I can say that happens is with GOD's help!  Some people pray daily.  I am more the constant conversation with my father kind of gal.  We talk all day long.  If you come into a room and hear me talking.  I am not talking to myself I am usually talking to God.  I know that sounds crazy to some of you but that is what works for me. And some days in my world it is the only way to keep ME from going crazy.

On a side note: I had someone ask me about reading.... 

Do you recommend any help for a child that might need extra help w/ their reading?

I would recommend some remedial reading programs.  You want to pick materials where the child is able to comprehend what he reads without to much difficulty and where he understand the vocabulary.  Which leads me to another idea to help the Dolch words list are also good to work from to help with reading.

Lil Momma Birthday 2011

It is that time of year again, my birthday.  First I go to work to find my office decorated and a wonderful cake in the fridge waiting for me.

Then my sister took me out on Saturday to some surprise pampering, mani/pani!!!

Then we picked up my Mom and Granny and went to a cute Mili's Cafe good ways away from where we live that my sister just had to share w/ us and had some really good food.  Wish I had taken a picture of our food. But I forgot to.  The strawberry lemonade was very yummy!!!  We did get pictures of all four of us to remember our day celebrating not only my birthday but Mothers day 2011, too.

Roller Coaster Called My Life...

My life has been one roller coaster ride after another lately.  So let me see if I can catch you up on this wild, not so fun ride.

First my mil is back in the hospital she had been out since March 10.  She was doing good w/ her rehab and had gotten most of her strength back.  But now her pulse is real low and they are talking a pace maker to help this.

Second my headaches.  For years now I have had headaches.  These headaches will come on and last for a few days or a few weeks. This last headache I have had started on March 29th and well it is still here.  They are not migraines in that I don't get sick or have any of the other symptoms  that go with migraines. From all the research I have done it sounds like cluster headaches but then I am not the Dr.

 I had gone to my primary back in October about them and gave me a list of things to try since I was still night nursing Moose.  Once I was done w/ the night nursing and he was weaned completely come back and see him.  He told me to get my eyes examined, try to relax, get a massage, and try to get rid of my stress.  I got my eyes examined and got new glasses.  Tried to relax and rid myself of stress well those sorta are really really heard in my life right now.  I did get a massage!  It was wonderful but w/ in hours of the massage my headache came back.  :^(  Moose has been weaned for about 3 weeks now.  This is sad for me knowing his is my last baby but good cause I can move forward w/ dealing with my headaches. My hormones should be getting back to normal and I now have an appointment to see a Neurologist on May 5th.  Praying that there will be some answers about these headaches soon.  I am really tired of living with them.

Third is work/volunteer work.  My work schedule has changed a little in the past few weeks. I have been given more responsibilities w/ time4learning.com which I love! It is also the time of year when I organize the PPEA Used Book Sale.  This is the largest used book sale in our area.  I love doing this and it is only once a year but this year it has taken extra from me due to my mil and my headaches.

Oh and then there is being a wife, mother and teacher to add to it.  So goes the roller coaster ride called my life!

The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels--A Love Story

As many of you know I just love the Pioneer Woman!  She is just so down to earth and tell it like it is kind of gal.  For my birthday last year my dear friend CP took me to Orlando for the Pioneer Woman's cook book signing.  That was the first time I had ever done a book signing.  Well she started writing her's and Marlboro Man's love story and was posting it on her blog.  The readers loved and encouraged her to write it all out in a book.  And she did just that!!!!

I just finished this book in record time. It was soooo romantic even in the pucking parts.  I guess you have to read it to understand what I mean.  It is a true loves story. 

Every gal needs her own cowboy!

I laughed, cried, laughed, blushed, laughed, got mad, and laughed some more.  You could just imagine it all.  I highly recommend this book and will most likely be purchasing this book to add to my favorite books!!!
